Nokia lost out in the race for product placement and Samsung managed to jump right in there. Some might wish that the firm had managed to be a little more subtle in the design they put forward.
But that won't matter to fans who will discover they can buy an SPH-N270 direct from Samsung. It's almost an upside down version of the mobile used in the first Matrix film, this one has a pop-out earpiece that covers the screen.
It also has more 'styling' to say the least. Where the Nokia in the first film was simple but futuristic looking, the Samsung looks more like it was designed for an episode of Dr. Who.
US Matrix fans with a determination to own anything to do with the film certainly have the opportunity to get themselves a 'unique' look with the limited edition mobile. The phone contains various video clips and sounds from the film. You can find details and pictures of the SPH-N270 here. ยต
