ALBATRON HAS A 9800GX2 on display at here at CeBIT. This is the only one we seen on the show floor so far.
Not much to say, we outed the numbers the other day, so here is what it looks like.
And what a beast it is. Sexy, sexy fan shrouding, huh?

since they couldn't think of anything to add, I did see the numbers the other day.....MAN is this thing ugly, looks worse than the 7950 X2.

I know it has power but its UGLY, gold on black....they need more than the little cooler had, Look at the 8800Gts it is big but looks ok.

Anyhow most dont have a window on thier pc soo....the price, performance, and heat are all they will be worrying about.
It has a very industrial design about it. Cold and clean. Too bad it seems to be a poor performer.
What happened to the other two DVI ports... Thought these cards had four?
Seriously, why do you care what it looks like? As long as it's performance kicks ass and it's quiet, why should they bother with a cool design? You're gonna stick it inside a box and close the lid anyway ;) Personally I'd rather they make it cheaper, than they spending more $$$ on the design (making the thing even more expensive to buy).

Is the 30 seconds it takes you to take it out of the packaging and plug it into your PCI-Express slot really so painful? =)

Who cares if its purple and orange or black and white or if it even has flowers printed on it... that thing goes in the PC box anyway... whats important its how pretty your gfx are!
For a 2 slot design, doesn't look like it has much venting. Even if the fan doesn't whine I'll bet it's noisy just from the air squeezing out of it.

I want to see a shroud that looks like (and acts like) a heatsink. All spikey and gnarly. You should be able to use anything this expensive as a weapon in desperate times.
Why does it matter what it looks like? If you don't have a windowed case, you'll see it maybe twice, then forget what it looks like until you open it up again. Even if you do have a window, you'll probably only get a small glimpse of the bottom side...

As long as it performs good, I'm happy.
Anything been said about Tri-SLI with these puppies?

Is it possible, in a perfect-driver world, that 6 GPU's could be cranking in your PC?
Bah it does not look that bad.. cold dark beast like.. but will it perform like one :/

Id rather wait for a 9800 GTX or 2 of them.. btw when does things start coming out with 'display port 2' ?

Would be cool to see some real high def displays (3840 x 2160 ) with those ports soon.. IIRC Vista can support real high definitions without making fonts unreadable.. displays that are nicer on the eyes would be great.. release them please !!
All you people commenting on the benchmarks that have been leaked, are well, how can I put this, idiots.. It's obvious 3dmark06 is only seeing one (1) gpu and thus your seeing basicly the same score 1 8800gts g92 would produce.. nVidia has not released any official drivers for this card, so the scores I'm seeing make total sense. Every manufacture as well as every major review site has a NDA signed with nvidia, and the only sites releasing info are ones who don't have a nda and are using rumors to just get attention to this card. I don't expect anything 'magical' from the 9800gx2 but the scores will reflect basicly what 2 8800gts g92 cards do in SLI.. Hopefully, unless the card or design is flawed.. As for heat, u can passively cool a single card, using a efficient heatsink and a good fan it should be no problem cooling the card.. It's not like they havn't done this before, I'm sure they learned alot from the 7950gx2 and that card is yes slower, but each gpu runs hotter then the current g92's .. As for heat, there is much better cooler tech on video cards now then ever before, I doubt it will be an issue. and as for benchmarks, its stupid to assume anything unless you see some real reviews with a real driver..

Last tidbit - you can see more and more leaked pictures of cards from manufactures, evga, msi, albatron.. if stinkin albatron has a card ready to go, you know all the manufactures have had these for awhile and have warehouses ready to ship.. They know they have a solid product, thats why things have been so tight lipped. Also evga even has showed pictures of their 'black pearl' version, and im sure they have superclocked and other versions all ready to ship as well.. When the nda ends, every review site that has a nda will release benchmarks and a review on the card (they all each have them). Then I imagine newegg will have them in stock that day or within a week.

Onboard Inferiority Complex

Will they supply industrial ear muffs with this card, it looks like it could be a bit of a screamer.
This card is NOT a poor performer,With a resolution of 1920x1200, the GeForce 9800 GX2 is 65% faster in Crysis and 47% faster in Call of Duty 4, but at the same time was only 12.5% faster in BioShock and 28% faster in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, when compared to the Radeon HD 3870 X2. I would not call that a poor performer, the 9800 GX2 also beat the 3870 X2 in quad crossfire by just under 20 fps in 1280 x 1024
