Boris no longer worried about the evils of computer games

As London prepares to host Games Festival
Thursday, 16 October 2008, 14:13

TWO YEARS AGO, Boris Johnson claimed that computer games rot the brain. But now the mayor of London has had an apparent change of heart.

Batty Boris announced that he was not only pleased, but proud as well to have London host this year's Games Festival for the third year running.

alt='cowboyboris'He didn’t stop the praise there. Ex-game hater Boris has decided the festival would be a “demonstration of the creativity and range of the industry.”

The mop-topped mayor added: "With events across the capital, the festival has something for everyone and illustrates the popularity of this thriving form of entertainment."

So, it seems either the mayor of London has been swapped with a clone – or he’s simply had a distinct change of heart– either way these comments completely conflict with his earlier remarks on this industry.

perhaps

he has no idea what he's talking about and is saying what his PR people are telling him to say.

But, that's such a wild idea, probably no root in reality.

Boris the mayor

The mayor of London's name is Boris? Yea verily, the gods of Anglo-Saxony must be fuming indeed, for Boris is hardly a good Anglo-Saxon name.

Oh, can you keep the picture of that lovely lass on the homepage? Perks me blood pressure up when I view her luscious vistage, for sure.

I'd like to think

...that this is why he was elected. A bit of entertainment. Personally I would have voted for him.
On with the show!

Television rots your brain--

Videogames actually get people to think and look at what they are doing. Sometimes they can teach morals and sometimes they can inspire bad/negative attitudes. Halo 3 for instance is one of those "inspire the worst" out of people.

It is a new entertainment medium thats unlike any other. The question is, will we get rid of the truly evil games like MMO's that steal peoples valuable time?

He still thinks games rot brains

Which of course is precisely why he sponsors the gig!

Just look at that guy, and indeed, ponder that purely anglo-saxon name of Boris.

Needs every rotten brain he can put his hands on.

Boris is a Yank!

Yes Rich Wargo, the Mayor of London's name is Borris. He is also American.
sometime in the not so distant future he will be PM of UK and President of American and will unite the nations leading to an era of unprecedented harmony and bad hair!
