Ecost brings you the cheapest new 17in TFT LCD screen in the US at $248 after a $60 rebate. The slim, sleek GM-170B is perfect for the office bringing you vivid, crisp images you'll love to stare at. GEM's GM-170B is an XGA TFT display featuring a 17" viewable screen. Ergonomically designed for the office user in mind, its 300:1 contrast ratio and 1280 x 1024 native resolution brings you superior images and crisp text. The 140-degree right to left and 110-degree up and down viewing angles are excellent for sharing the display with other users. Response Time: between 30 and 50ms. Consumption varies peaks at 45W. The GM170B also apparently comes with integrated speakers. For sheer sexiness, there is little you can do to match the GM170B, especially at this price.

Software-blowouts has an excellent refurbished 30 day warrantied laptop.

The Compaq EVO N115 is moer powerful than most laptops found at this price, $549. It comes with an Athlon 1.2GHz mobile processor, 128MB memory, Windows XP os, a floppy, a 20GB hard disk drive, a DVD writer and a 14.1in TFT screen. The laptop was launched in April 2002, before Compaq was swallowed by HP. Perhaps most important is the fact that software blowouts guarantees that the battery will hold a charge. The EVO used to power the business range of Compaq's notebook, equivalent to Dell's Inspiron. The EVO N115 has a large wrist rest together with a sizeable TFT screen and the general sturdiness associated with quality products. You can buy it Dabs.

Want to contribute to the welfare of children and get your hands on some PCs? Why not buy this lot from International Children's Care UK. Basically, they give you 12 P166MMX computers with 64 to 128MB memory, 1.2 to 3GB hard disk CDROMS, Network cards, Graphic cards, keyboard and mouse as well as Windows 98. Oh yes, you also have Windows 98 installed on it. That registered charity was planning to ship those computer to Zambia but found out that the cost of shipping was well beyond what they had planned. Why not buy it and sell it on ebay for example at £15 a pop. You would still get some money back and make some children somewhere in the UK smile. Somewhere on Ebay, someone is selling that lovely Dual Xeon 3.6Ghz for £1190+VAT. Build inside a Chieftec quality server case - lockable front door and side panel with front access to USB 2.0 and Firewire ports, it is served by a 650W PSU. Ther motherboard used is an Intel SE7505VB2 while the processors are two 3.066 Xeon CPU. On top of that the computer comes with quality components like two 1 GB DDR 266 ECC Reg memory modules, two 200GB SATA150 Western Digital WD2000 drives in RAID-0, one 16x Dual Layer DVD writer,a Creative Labs SB Live sound card and a floppy. The creme on the top is an ATI FireGL Z1-128 which features dual DVI ports and 256MB memory. A quick look on ebuyer to buy the parts for the server brought my total to more than £1300+VAT. Therefore if you are looking for a 3D modelling powerhouse, do not hesitate to buy this one. And the guy does have serious references and seems to be one of those 10,000 lucky UK ebayers who now work from home. µ
