Hack's Hero saves UK Press Gazette

The title was rescued by specialist infomation group Wilmington. The Gazette went into administration last week and Wilmington bought it and has resumed publishing it this week.

Loynes confirmed this in a conversation with the INQ last night. The Gazette is a newspaper covering the UK newspaper and magazine market - we've thousands and thousands of those, ranging from the INQ to the Sun, although sadly Successful Potato is now moribund.

Loynes had worked at the Gazette before. When he was at VNU at the same time Mageek was, Loynes saved him from administration and closure several times, usually when the grizzled old hack (Mageek, that is), had started his periodic throwing of vast quantities of toys out of his ancient perambulator. µ
