RELATIVES of three people who were killed by a 14 year old are suing the makers of Grand Theft Auto, Take Two, claiming his addiction to the game was responsible for the murders.

According to the Chronicle, Cody Posey, who was 14 at the time he shot his father, stepmother and sister, was found guilty of murder, but was sentenced to treatment in State Custody until he was 21.

The $600 million lawsuit is being engineered on behalf of the family by anti-game lawyer lawyer Jack Thompson who said that Posey obsessively played the game on a PS2.

Oddly this was never mentioned in the criminal court case. The Judge accepted that Posey developed post-traumatic stress disorder after surviving a car crash five years ago that killed his mother.

The only violence that the court heard about was how Cody's father burned his arm when the boy, then 14, refused to have sex with his stepmother, Tryone. It also heard how his father hit him 50 to 70 times and flung him across the room when he was just two.
