Microsoft help columns are rarely too useful, so we at the INQ decided to write a strikingly similar column that can really help you out.

How to 'undo' a big mistake in Life

It used to be, back in that last millennium, people wished for a reverse time machine. This would allow them to go back in time after they messed up their life.

Well, the INQ has that time machine. And when some heavy drinking gives you the staggers, it's easy to go back to the day before. Or the day before that. Or last week or last month.

It's an all-too-often unused drug, called LSD. Listed on this page are four things to know about it.

  • 1. It allows you to go back in time.
  • LSD creates wormholes in the fabric of the universe - called "star gates" - which are stored in the deepest recesses of your brain. At any given time, you might have star gates going back a few weeks, or a few millenia.

So how do you get into LSD?

Simple. Next time there's a big music festival in town, look for the guy with the longest, dirtiest hair - he'll probably be wearing tinted sunglasses and a poncho.

  • 2. You can make your own star gates.
  • You might want to do this if you are performing a questionable operation, such as sharing music online. If something goes wrong, simply leap into your star gate and you'll instantly be transported back to where you began (maybe).

  • 3. But, on the down side, you might die.
  • Nothing's perfect. LSD is a dangerous substance if not used with care. By default, your LSD trip will last for anything between 3-24 hours. That's a heckuva lot of time. If you have lots of time on your hands and are accompanied by a non-time-traveller, that may not matter.

  • 4. Yes, you can do anything!
  • Everything's possible with LSD! Always wanted to fly to the moon, melt into 22 different colour droplets and have a football match with yourself? Now you can!

With any luck, you may never need LSD. But it's a wonderful drug: easy to use and always ready to bail you out.
