The machine is designed to test designs using AMD's Hypertransport bus, Gabriele Sarton, president of the newly formed consortium said today.
The machine provides integrated source synchronous timing over a range of parameters including voltage, current and temperature and will cut down the time needed to bring Hammer products to market.
It will be used to verify chips using the device, and suggests that AMD has upped its move to bring the 64-bit processors to market.
