LG's profits slump as fat panels slim down

In brief: Not so brilliant display

KOREAN GIANT LG said its net profits fell in its fourth quarter by a staggering 85 per cent as it blamed price erosion in its flat panel business.

It turned in a net profit of W48.2 billion down from W312.2 billion in the same period last year, and its display division turned in a loss. µ
