Asus goes X1950 XTX and Crossfire

Time for a new upgrade
Thu Aug 31 2006, 13:06
The RADEON X1950XTX is still not available but should prove a rather attractive $/€399 card for upgrades, when it arrives.

Asus decided to use that advantage and announced two cards based on R580+ core, the EAX1950XTX/HTVDP/512M and EAX1950Crossfire/HP/512M. Both cards are clocked at 650MHz core and have 2000MHz GDDR4 memory.

Asus is making some noise about the HDCP (High-Definition Digital Content Protection), capability of the card and its Splendid Video Intelligence Technology.

Asus claims that the cards are available worldwide now but give it a week or two to be on the safe side.

Both cards are bundled with Snowblind Ghost Recon game. µ
