LinkedIn launches native Iphone app

Offers new features and reduced lag

LINKEDIN, THE SOCIAL NETWORK for business sorts has announced the release of its native Iphone application.

The indigenous app, based on the same back end that serves LinkedIn mobile, reportedly offers quicker response time and a myriad of new features.

According to Jerry Luk of LinkedIn, the new application provides professional networkers with a "complete mobile experience."

Indeed, the Iphone app allows users to easily integrate address books, alter status updates, browse connections and execute searches.

The rapidly growing online network has recently announced several major developments, including its mobile service for web enabled mobile phones and the launch of a Spanish-language website.
