EXTREME RESOURCES brings us a review of the Revoltec Procyon II and the UFO Design USB 2.0 hub. The first one being a device that goes in a free 5.25-inch bay and brings together several functionalities while the second one is a tiny circular USB hub the size of a £2 coin.

Israeli site HWzone checks the ngThermalright SI-97 which is a heat pipe based on a combination of copper and aluminium. HWzone are quite pleased with the finish and the performance of the package. Expect to get temperature decreases of several degrees after installing it.

PCNX website unveils the new Apple Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger. MacOS has adopted the Windows attitude to hardware and customers. Only the fidels - wealthy if possible - survive. Each major update is sold to customers. Anyway, Tiger is apparently even better than Panther, its predecessor, thanks to better usage of the graphics GPU and algorithms. Will Cougar or Kitty up the ante even more?

The text is in chinese but the news is explosive. ECS is preparing an upgrade for its PF88 extreme called the SIMA card which will allow the future AMD M2 and the Pentium M to run on that socket 775 board. Socket 754 and 939 users are not forgotten as well. Only the Xeon and the Opteron are missing. Guess Asrock should not be too far away.

The Mustek PVR-H140 is tested at PCworld, the magazine. It is a 40GB hard disk drive in a silver box with a 9cm colour TV. At £200, it is not that expensive. It can record movies or TV programmes but not like a PVR. It is compatible with MP3 and ASF files. Nothing more.

PimpRIG checks the DFI Lanparty UT nForce 4 SLI-DR socket 939 motherboard. One of the best, if not the best, socket 939 motherboard out there. UV reactive components, ability to overvolt your RAM to 4V, super overclocking capabilities and SLI ready as well.

The IRiver H320 high capacity multimedia jukebox gets tested at the American version of PC World. At $265, it is as cheap as it can be. With an FM radio, a black finish, a huge 20GB hard disk and a wonderful colour screen. Will anyone be able to put some movies on it? µ
