OCZ introduces high end power supplies

A new fork
Wednesday, 23 June 2004, 10:07
OCZ BRANCHED OUT into a new area today with the introduction of three high end power supplies . The Powerstream power supplies come in 420, 470 and 520 watt versions.

The Powerstream line has a bunch of features I like, and a few I have not seen before. The main one is that is is about as close to universal as you can get, with ATX, BTX, SATA, P4 and EPS12V headers, it is a hardware geeks universal PS. It is also nickel plated so it looks spiffy, the green LED fan and the 'colorfully' wrapped wired will have to wait for a personal taste evaluation.

The interesting feature is the three independently adjustable power rails. Each rail has a dial that you can crank the voltage up or down on. If you go above or below 5% of where you should be, a LED on the rail will turn red or yellow. If you are 'right', it stays green. Neat. µ
