Legion Hardware has reviewed the X-Micro X-VDO MP4 F610, a handy little MP4 player that ticks all the boxes that most people will look for from a portable media player, it's small in size and price, easy to use, the screen is clear and easy to watch and it's packed full of features. The down side is that you have to actually find one which apparently is more difficult than one might initially imagine.
TweakTown also brings us a review the DFI ICFX3200-T2R/G Motherboard, the first motherboard to use the new RD600 chipset, which scores a very impressive 9.5 out of 10, so it looks like we can expect some very good things from this new chipset.
BIOS magazine has a review of the Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t. The widescreen display may be a little dull and it may be a bit pricey, but its impressive performance as a workhorse and the wide range of features make it an excellent example of what the series represents.
XSreviews is running a One year anniversary competition. You have until the 8th of Feb to submit a whacky, zany or otherwise eye catching picture of yourself and the XSR logo, with the best pictures being selected by the readers by voting and the winners snagging a range of prizes including a Silverstone case and water cooling kit for the best submission.
PC Perspective has come up with the Zalman Reserator 2 Fanless Water Cooling System Review. If you're aiming for a completely silent rig, but don't want to lose that extra bump in performance provided by overclocking then this is well worth a look, apparently even installation is a nice simple affair, although making sure you purge all the air out right at the start can be a bothersome task.
Another review of a stalwart product that keeps on cropping up in the roundup, this time it's PC Modding Malaysia that brings us the abit AW9D-MAX Motherboard Review and as usual it earns itself a shining review thanks to its impressive performance and wide range of features aimed squarely at gamers and PC enthusiasts who can't resist tinkering with every possible setting.
Apart from giving away loads of cool stuff XSReviews has also reviewed the NO.ID Mouse Pad. At least I think they have, but despite several hours with a sketch artist and a police line up we have yet to identify the mousing surface in question, although that may because of the customisable surface. ยต
