Rumours of more Intel layoffs emerge

A WELL-INFORMED CHAP at the Hermit's Cave reckons chip giant Intel will announce another round of de-hirings this week.

As many as 1,000 people might go, said the source.

Intel's "annual sales meeting" happens this coming February and the mood is "sombre" the source reckons.

Intel was unavailable for comment at press time. So situation normal, then. µ
