Eager Apple fanbois who have gotten their hands on the Iphone-minus-phone early - the device isn't actually officially shipping until the 28th - have complained that the screen quality is dire, with blacks shimmering and appearing washed out making video unwatchable.
At the end of his new video review of the device, The WSJ's Walt Mossberg says that Apple told him the problem was "being remedied," which is Apple code for 'bring your device back and we'll swap it out for one that actually works, assuming you're prepared to make an appointment with our Genius Bar just to be seen then come back later in the day when we have a technician free to tell you what you already know and just swap out the bloody device without any hint of an apology whatsoever.'
Well, that's just based on our past experience, anyway. If you fancy getting your grubby little mitts on an Ipod Touch, you might be well advised to wait a few weeks while the dodgy units run through stock and some better ones make their way onto shelves. µ
