INQUIRER eats Intel's lunch

CeBIT 2004 It was delicious
Wed Mar 24 2004, 10:29
WE WENT TO the previously unannounced press conference Intel held here in CeBIT.

We discovered it entirely by chance - Chipzilla isn't telling us too much here in Hannover after the wheel fell off its digital tyre.

But we're pleased to say that we did go to the Grantsdale announcement and we do have a photograph of the lunch box Intel gave to our German colleagues and to yours truly.

Unfortunately Intel's idea of lunch is chewing gum, sweeties, peanuts for me and a bar of chocolate.

We've eaten the lunch, and it was delicious although we'd have preferred something a bit more substantial - like the Bockwurst our stomachs are getting used to.

We asked the lass at the CeBIT bar what the Bock in Bockwurst means - it is apparently the name of a male goat.
