Gateway's cow gets inhumanely killed

G Spot adopted as Daisy dumped
Mon Nov 04 2002, 15:55
WE WERE ALWAYS a little bit worried by Ted Waitt's reliance on the cow as the symbol for Gateway Computers, seeing as the place where the firm was located had as its main business the slaughter of tens of thousands of quadrupeds.

But now, apparently, the Gateway cow is dead.

And it's an ad agency that's administered the bolt, it appears.

Marketing Computers reports that Waitt and Co has abandoned Daisy and will now major on a grid instead.

And adopt the tagline "a better way", which we suppose is better than "a butter way".

The ads also make great use of the "G" spot, according to the report, which you can find here. µ
