That's some pile'o'data
Monday, 9 April 2007, 09:09
A JAPANESE AND an Israeli firm have teamed up to create a single sided optical disk which can store 300GB.

According to nikkei.net, the disk is being built by Memory-Tech Corp and Mempile with the disk having over 100 layers.

The report said the firms will commercialise a product inside three years. Manufacturing won't require any special kit but players will need to incorporate tech that reads and writes to the disks.
