ATI is still making chipsets for Intel boards. It will ease the Intel chipset shortage especially in integrated area and we know that ATI has a little bit better integrated core than Intel. It will be more Vista ready, that is for sure.

Intel quietly introduced the Intel D102GGC2, Grant County 2 board and you can read all about it here.

There's another board supporting DDR 2, and this one is set to support dual channel DDR 2. It is codenamed D103GGV and will be known as the Gem Valley motherboard. It supports LGA 775 sockets and is a micro ATX board.

The board features integrated graphics, but will also have a PCIe slot to support the external graphic card and will also come with two PCI cards. It is scheduled for Q3 2006 so there might be a chance to see such a board at Computex this year. µ
