Rumour mill hints at Intel AMD killer

Price whores and Sempr0ns

WE CAN'T YET substantiate this but that's not going to stop us writing it, OK?

The word on the strasse is that Intel is contemplating a strange hybrid called the Pentium Celeron Duet, a 65 nanometre component that is aimed right at AMD X2s and the recent price drops.

If true, and it is an if, here, the part will be a 2.8GHz thing with 2MB/4MB flavours using 800/1066MHz buses. No pricing, because it's just a rumour at this stage, OK?

* ANYONE GOT an email addie for Eva Glass? She seems to have dropped out of the loop and I have a Rattner engagement ring I would have given her if she hadn't dumped me.
