All Douglas Hayward stories in the Financial Times eventually come true - Hewlett Packard
This is how it claims it's done it.
It has made ordered alumina nanohole patterns for isolated bit by bit recording allowing it to read/write each individual nanohole of patterned media using a flying head.
The media uses anodic oxidation, nano imprint lithography, and cobalt electro-deposition at a density of 100 nanometre pitch holes.
Fujitsu is pretty excited by this but doesn't say when we'll be able to buy our nanoholes in the shops. µ
