READ AN interesting review lately? Have one to show us, or want to share yours with our readers? Drop me and line and I'll be glad to include it in here.

Tomshardware published yet another of its now famous VGA charts. Now in its seventh edition, it comes back at AGP cards which still are popular. 24 contesting graphic cards run in seventh benchmark and without any surprise, the ATI family wins most of the benchmarks. Tom has even included cards as old as the FX5700.

AMDzone draws us towards two articles. The first one is about overclocking the FX55 using the Prometeia Mach II phase change cooler. Chris hypothetises on the speeds reached by the yet-to-be-formally-announced-if-ever-launched FX59, FX61 and FX63. Loads of benchmarks, as you can imagine. He will try to OC the FX55 to 4GHz but his heart is still won over by the X2 family.

The other review published is that of the Biostar NF4UL-A9 which is priced just above the Chaintech nForce4 Ultra model. It offers both a PCI Express port and a XGP - an proprietary AGP adaptation, not compatible with all cards, which cannot be used simultaneously though. Other features are pretty standard, like firewire, GbE, 7.1 audio etc.

Legitreviews gives you more details on how to install more memory on your Apple G5. A two-page how-to but which will probably save you some monnies. Easier done than said. If you know how to use a screwdriver, upgrading won't be difficult.

ExtremeMHz reviews the Canon Pixma IP4000 inkjet printer. Without any doubt, Canon is the printing company which has been on the rise in the past years. With cheap ink prices, stunning printing speeds and quality, the iP4000 stands as proof of Canon's revival. Even if it has no built in LCD, its 5-ink tank system and cheap price should put it right ahead of everyone in your buying list.

PCStats takes an Athlon 64 3700+ and overclocks it all the way to... Colin Sun chose a Sandiego 1MB cache for its experiments. They stopped at 3.22GHz using the Prometeia Mach II GT which the reviewer considered to be fairly average. Still have a look at the benchmarks and you might be surprised at how an increase in cache might yield better performance.

Firingsquad tests the performance of some compact flash readers from well known and lesser known brands. Not much difference between the card readers. The cheapest card, the Sandisk one, had the best read performance. Interesting review if you use or plan to use those cards on a regular basis.

I missed this little product. The Voicestick was reviewed in May. The i2Telecom is a telephone on a USB stick and costs only $30. You only need a USB port and broadband and you can use it everywhere, in an airport or a hotel as well as a USB drive. You get a three months unlimited service too. µ
