Google buys Urchin

SEARCH GIANT Google said it has bought a web analytics company called Urchin, but didn't say how much it paid for it.

Urchin sells tools to track marketing performance and optimise content, Google said. The search firm will make these tools available to web site owners so they can make more advertising money and improve their web sites. µ
