Don't use until IFRAME patched
Thu Nov 25 2004, 10:24
THE FINNISH Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) has warned people not to use Microsoft Internet Explorer because of the unpatched IFRAME bug.

It doesn't give specific advice on which browser to use, but said people should hold until this particular hole is patched.

The report, in Finnish, is here.

Meanwhile, German magazine c't recently released figures showing its stats for different browsers used to access its site.

According to c't, a widely read German tech site, Microsoft browser share now stands at 43%, while Mozilla stands at 38.1%, Opera 7.7%, Apple 2.1% and KDE 2.1%.

You can find that article in German, here.

Our own figures for November to date show Internet Explorer with 56.7%, Firefox with 23.5%, Mozilla with 6.6%, Opera with 4.4%, "unknown" with 4.1%, Safari with 1.7%, Netscape with 1.5%, and Konqueror with .5%.
