22-24 October 2002: HP holds its annual analyst briefing in Sunny California.
1 November 2002: HP changes its name to HP, kicks off a new fiscal year, and unveils a radically new PartnerOne program that's bound to create some tubulence in the channels.
19-21 November 2002: The first-ever OpenVMS Sympoisum in Nashua, NH. Not for beginners or casual users. Think of it as SAS training for the best of the best in the VMS community.
20 December 2002: The latest guesstimate on when OpenVMS will boot on Intelgraph's Itanium. Blame the delay on the Extended----if not Splendid--Isolation of key engineers in the "Clean Room."
January 10, 2003: A truly Marvelous day to roll out the next-generation EV7-Inside GS-Series. The "Marvel" platform will span a range of 2 to 64 processors; if you really want a 128-way HP AlphaServer 1280 and are willing to pay the price for same, HP will be glad to cobble one together for you. And what will a Marvel cost? Word has it that list prices will be added to the price file on or about 14 October 2002. Fifteen systems have been up and running at early adopter sites for months now; an additional system was sold on the spot on the trade show floor at HP ETS 2002.
