DVI and conquer
Wednesday, 19 March 2008, 12:26

ATI Radeon HDs 3400, 3600 and 3800 and the AMD 780G integrated graphics chipset became the first AMD products to gain Displayport certification.

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) delivered the certificate today. The Displayport interface is claimed to deliver twice the output bandwidth of DVI.

Matt Skynner, vice president of graphics marketing at AMD, said the " certification gives PC consumers next-generation display capabilities today”.
