Channel Apology for INQ readers

PC WORLD HAS formally apologised to INQ readers over the problems with its collect at store promotion saying it was not its intention to hoodwink anyone.

A contrite PR manager from the retailer phoned earlier today to offer apologies to disappointed INQ readers who couldn't get onto the site to hunt for bargains.

On the laptop promotion, Gina Jones, PR manager for PC World, said there were 280 laptops on offer, all of which sold within 90 minutes.

Jones also said sorry for the missing links on the web site, saying the button should have been there yesterday morning but wasn't, but that the discounted product lines (of which there were four) were possible to find if readers searched through the pages under different categories.µ
