ATI's Radeon 1950XT has 256MB

Cheaper but fast
Monday, 31 July 2006, 10:31
ATI plans one more SKU for the end of the summer. The launch date is still scheduled for 23rd and the card is yet again based on the R580+ core. It won't be the top notch Radeon X1900 XTX or Crossfire edition, we are talking about a Radeon X1950 XT card.

Radeon X1950 XT will have 256MB of memory and should also work at a 2.0GHz frequency. It will use the fastest GDDR 4 memory and will naturally use a 256 bit interface. This card will likely be ATI's answer to the very sucessful Geforce 7900 GT series and should be in the same price range.

It looks like the key difference will be the memory size and it will end up cheaper than the projected €399 to €415 for X1950 XTX card. ยต
