Sun teams up with Napster

Free music and scoopettes
Friday, 23 July 2004, 11:46
NAPSTER AND The Sun have teamed up together to offer online music.

This Saturday and for eight Saturdays in a row, The Current Bun will allow its readers the ability to download any tracks free from the 750,000 Napster library.

Sean Mahon, marketeer at The Sun, said his paper made its name by being first to market with news scoops and reader promotions.

One of the biggest scoops from the Sun so far this week is Kylie has the No 1 bum, captioned "click picture to enlarge".

INQ hacks Lord Bostoon of Barking and Kiwi Nick Farrell both did stints at the Current Bun. His Grace remembers the editor of The Sun once snatching the phone from a reporter trying to placate an elderly reader and shouting: "We don't want people like you reading The Sun. Now *@#! off".

Farrell remembers doorstepping various minor celebrities in a bid to find out their sleeping partners. ยต
