Sony shows off bent colour screen

Not so flat panels
Fri May 25 2007, 11:43
GOAT SLAUGHTERING firm Sony has proclaimed the arrival of the first organic electroluminescent (OEL) display that will let you see product placement on TV but bent.

Nikkei.net reported that the panel is .3 millimetres thin and can be rolled up, and uses organic thin film trannies on a plastic substrate.

The prototype, said Nikkei, only has a screen size of 2.5-inches so you won't be able to see bent Coronation Street characters toting Starbucks and Ethiopian Coffee for quite some time. µ
