Centrino Wi Fi chips vulnerable

SECURITY FLAWS in its Centrino WiFi chipset have been admiited by Intel. The company says it has post updated drivers which cure the problem on its web site.

As usual, hackers could potentially exploit the weaknesses to spread worms and viruses between machines. Instead of attacking across the net, these attacks could come wirelessly, however.

Intel is also suggested that anyone who's worried about the danger to their Centrino laptops should contact the manufacturers of their laptops for device-specific updates.
