Winners named in AMD world design contest

PC WORLD BRAZIL said that there are winners in an AMD sponsored competition for internet access boxes designed by students.

The magazine said there were 30 entries, of which five reached the final with four from Chile and one from Brazil. The Brazilian design won three of the four prizes - honourable mention, students' choice, and technical. A Chilean design dubbed Gota won the chamber's award - with a $30,000 cash prize.
