Wednesday, 29 September 2004, 15:56
ANOTHER COUNTRY is to be offered Microsoft's Windows XP Starter Edition, according to Associated Press.

India - a country of over one billion souls - will be offered the cut down version of Windows XP using one of its official languages, Hindi.

Other official languages will be offered if the launch in Hindi is a success.

But the software will only be available through Microsoft's channel of authorised OEMs and no price is yet fixed for the launch, expected to come early next year. ยต
