Foxconn cuts Taiwanese hack some slack

A JOURNALIST who faced blood, sweat and tears after Taiwanese giant Foxconn (Hon Hai) legalled her, has had the threat of court action lifted, Digitimes reports today.

Joyce Huang was injuncted by Foxconn after she wrote an article in the Commercial Times about Intel and the socket company.

But, said Digitimes, both the newspaper and Foxconn have issued a statement declaring that war is over and peace reigns, deep and even.

Foxconn, however, said that news reports should be verified to avoid trouble and strife, while the Commercial Times said it prioritises accuracy in reporting.

A provisional seizure of Ms Huang's assets has been abandoned.
