OCZ, the overclocking memory company, has just announced the second edition of its Gold PC2 6400 memory. It is a re-launch of a quite successful PC2-6400 Gold, just a new revision.

OCZ brands the memory as PC2-6400 Gold revision II GX and the 2GB kit costs $249.99 or less. Some etailers might offer a $30 rebate off the price so you could end up buying this super fancy memory for as little as $209 to $219.

This is gamers' memory. OCZ now offers 4-5-5-15 timings a little bit faster than the revision one. The PC2-6400 Gold Rev. 2 GX come in pairs of two so 2x1 GB should costs $249 or less after the rebate.

Gamers can always benefit from memory speed no matter whether you use Intel or AMD and games like Battlefield 2 the upcoming Battlefield 2141, Crysis, Vista gaming urges you to buy more than 1GB.

Half Life episode one under Vista needs some 1.35GB to run smoothly. We tried that over the weekend so maybe it's time to go for 2GB memory. ยต
