Ask goes Ask X

Google way too wackypedia-ish
Thu Dec 21 2006, 10:00
SEARCH ENGINE Ask which formerly had that pompous Jeeves geezer running the show, has adopted a fresh new face.

The site, here, has simplified its front page which has gone all silvery and red.

While Ask still lags way behind the Google monster, it has its attractions. All too often a search now on Google produces as first choice pages from Wackypedia while Ask doesn't.

For example, the first five results on Ask using bananas produces some non-wacky pages.

A similar search on Google produces as its first page a Wackypedia entry. µ
