O2 Iphone ready for ordering

AN EMAIL TO the INQ inbox this morning at 7.38am pronounced the availability of the new Apple 3G Iphone.
This hack ordered his promptly (if you're asking why, read this) at 8am, with no fuss and no queues.
Apparently we should expect to see our phone land on Friday, launch day.
As Apple don't send us product for review, and rarely talk to us, this will the best chance for an INQ review.
The tariffs shouldn't come of any surprise, and can be viewed on the O2 page here.
It seems the guys at O2 haven't updated the Carphone Warehouse on the availability yet - their page has yet to be updated.

Because theyve shut their shop for "maintenance". And the number it gives you to call tells you that you can only order online. Nice!
This was a complete farce, the 02 upgrade site went down after 10 minutes and even when you were half way through processing your upgrade. So if you are like me and missed out due to 02's lack of planning and installing the necessary infrastructure to ensure the site stayed up, you have to go to an 02 shop on Friday to get your upgrade.
i have been trying to order one for 2 hours and it keeps on giving and error and saying to please try again. I phone o2 and they said they have been having "problems"
I got the same email at 7:38am and promptly ordered it around 8am. it seems that if you try now, you get a nice error page and they recommend you try ordering over the phone... seems like the iPhone 3G will be quite popular methinks.
I find it somewhat amusing that my friend has been able to ordered the phone after a few hours of trying despite being an existing O2 customer however I have not been able to and I am an existing O2 customer... I thought they wanted to treat their existing customers...,

Sorry to all those that had trouble but I managed to grab one just before the CPW ran out this afternoon :p I'm shocked at the rate these things are going, I'm only buying one to tide me over till the Xperia X1 comes out because my N95 is totalled lol
