Clerics declare Islamic ringtones non Islamic

THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD claimed that Mohammed Asumin Qazmi, of Dar-ul Uloom in Deoband, India, said that Koranic verses are not meant for entertainment.

Mufti Badru-Hasan, a leading cleric in the Uttar Pradesh capital of Lucknow agreed with the ban saying that one should hear the complete verses of the Koran with a pious mind and in silence. µ
