MORE ABOUT . the 9800Pro. Wiseblud and Chuckman actually told me that 128MB cards are moddable provided that the card uses the R360 and provides with a simple trick. Look at the card cooler. If the pins are black, then it is modabble, if they are brass or gold, then it's a R350. Any more comments on that?

Hexus took a Venice E3-Stepping AMD A64 3000+. and overclocked the baby to 2.8GHz using a stock FX55 heat pipe HSF and an Abit AN8 motherboard. Nearly 1GHz more than its original speed. The results are absolutely mouth watering. See today's hardware buys for current prices in UK and in USA of a Venice combo.

XYZ computing has its preview of the HIS X850/X800 XFire. edition bundle as checked by our own Charlie somewhere on theinq. There's a list of compatible cards as well as some photos but no benchmarks.

Devhardware checks the Inno3D Geforce 6200A, a good choice if you want a new card to play slightly old games. A 64-bit memory interfaced card with a passive cooler, it does however provides a good challenge for cards like the Radeon 9600.

The Leadtek Geforce 6600GT. gets a review at Elitebastards. The PCX6600GT-TDH reminds us of the time when Leadtek was a force to be reckoned with, at a time when Elsa and Hercules were familiar names. Overclocks like a champ though. The 6600GT is more speedy but also more expensive than the X700Pro.

Swiss website Langamers.ch reviews the Trust 5.1. headset which is supposed to provide .... 5.1 surround sound. The Silverline 751B 5.1 headset apparently does its job very well even if low frequencies might be too weak. Ideal If you want to play in your bed without disturbing your girl friend.

Hothardware tests the Compaq Presario V4000. which is a desktop replacement laptop. It is quite thinn though and comes with the latest Intel goodies like DDR2 and the 90nm Dothan PM. Tests, benchmarks and the expected results are on the website.

GDhardware reviews the ABS Mayhen G4 notebook PC.. It is based on the "son of P3" Pentium M Processor running as 2.1Ghz. Comes with five USB 2.0 ports, Firewire, XD memory card slot plus more importantly for gamers, a 128MB Geforce Go 6600 which can be overclocked to 290/575.

Bjorn3D reviews the Powercolor Bravo X700 PCI-e,. yet another TUL card with a slight modification. This one features the Silent Cooling System, which is passively cooled. The card comes with two DVI ports and one SVideo. Don't expect it to overclock massively though. Performance is substandard when compared to other X700 but this card is not meant for hardcore gamers. µ
