£49.99 laser printer, £24 DVD writer - 10 bargains

NEW SALES have started in UK and this is good news for everyone. Currys is having a Samsung ML1520 - 14ppm 600x600 dpi resolution with 8MB memory - available for only £49.99, that's half price. It is also selling a refurbished Packard Bell Freeview Digital Receiver with remote control for only £29.99, with auto tune and remote control. Also in the Sales bag is a superb power computer for only £479.99, the Advent ADE T9002 which comes with an AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 512MB memory, a 200GB hard disk, a DVD writer and a DVD ROM. The only thing missing is a good graphics card. The Product codes for both products are 995137, 992362 and 903364. At PC World, they are piling a 4x Philips DVD writer for only £24.28+VAT, that's way below their usual price. The catch? That drive writes only to DVD+R.

Ecost is selling a special pen, the Edge DiskGo which combines a stylish ink pen and a 32MB USB2.0 drive. The cost? $31.99. Further down the lane, should you want to take a chance with rebates, they are offering a PC USA USB2.0 11-in-1 card reader free.

In addition, a four-port USB 2.0 port hub from Fiberline costs you only $5 should you want to buy one. Over at Computergeeks is a Multimedia hub made up of a 16x DVD drive with SRS WOW audio processor, FM Radio receiver, remote control and much more.

At $179, it is a good way to improve your system. If you want to buy a new a full version of Windows XP Home operating system, the cheapest way to do it is through Sales International which is selling it for only $74.98, 20% less than Newegg for example. And they ship it for free whereas some on ebay will charge $20.

Storage Studio is selling the brand new iWill ZMaxDP Dual Opteron SFF workstation as from the 7th of January. It features dual Opteron support with a nForce3 chipset No price has been announced.

Another product that will get heads turning is the Clevo D900T Portanote which sports a 17-inch LCD monitor with a Geforce 6800Go card, essential for playing DOOM III on the move.

Actualis has a 19-inch LCD monitor on the cheap from BTC. The 190M1 only costs €355 including taxes and has two speakers plus a SXGA resolution. µ
