AMD delays Austin move due to bad newts

HARDWARE SITE AMD Zone reports that Advanced Micro Devices won't make a move to Oak Hill until early next year.

Weirdly, the reason is dual - it wants to keep expenses down until 2008 dawns and doesn't want to upset the company at the time of launching Barcelona.

The news has nothing to do with disrupting the life cycle of blind newts or salamanders, as far as we can gather.
