Xbox chip has Cromwall Linux BIOS

And a BIOS flash utility
Tuesday, 28 January 2003, 15:06
A NOTE ON LINUX DEVICES said that OzXChip has released a modchip for the Xbox console which is pre-installed with a Cromwell Linux BIOS.

The BIOS is open source so can be shipped without any legal risks, said the site.

And the people that have produced the chip also package a boot CD with it called OzXFlash.

Apparently, this lets you flash any BIOS onto the chip by booting the CD, according to the site.

The firm says it is inundated with orders for the modified chip. ยต
