Phoronix, suggested a Tyan Tomcat K8E, with nForce 4 inside. It comes with an ATI Rage XL controller - kinad nice for a board built around an nVidia chipset - and features SATA II and nTune.
If you thought Dell's systems were not known to be good overclockers, well, you're in for a surprise. Extremetech compared an overclocked Dell Gen 5 XPS system to an Opteron 875 system and an 0.8GHz overclocked Velocity Micro Promagix DCX. Now why they did not overclock the Opteron is still beyond me.
Extremetech, checks the Linspire 5.0 Operating system which might/might not be well received by the OS community even if it is Linux based. This version adds a lot of features from a new kernel update to Bittorrent and 802.11g support as well as a VPN wizard. Anyway, well worth a try, especially with Linspire Live in my DVD drive.
The other review from ET is a hardcore motherboard. The now-too-famous DFI Lanparty UT nForce4 Ultra-D. Unique features, unique looks, unique performance and unique (heavy) price.
That same board is also on review at darkhardware.com - the guys sent us this link. Beware though, it is in Turkish and I've yet to find an online translator for it.
Xbitlabs chills with a Thermaltake CL-G0003 Passive VGA Cooler which makes the job of reducing the noise in your computer easier.
I was awoken last night with the rattle of my PC fans and God knows that it can be annoying. µ
