AMAZON.COM said it bought DPreview.com for an undisclosed sum.

DPreview.com, reviews and lists information about digital cameras. The site was founded in 1998 by Phil Askey and, according to Amazon, "draws millions of unique visitors each month".

Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, reckons Dpreview.com is "by far the most authoritative source anywhere for straight talk about new digital cameras." He liked it so much he bought the company.

Amazon says that DPreview will remain independent and keep its operation in London. µ
