Friday, 9 February 2007, 09:08
IT TOOK A YEAR, but now enthusiasts can finally have DDR2 memory with latencies equal or comparable to ones from the world of DDR1-400. OCZ Technology launched a new revision of its PC2-6400 Flex XLC series with a new suffix - CAS3.

In order for this memory to work, users will have to use a motherboard that supports the Enhanced Performance Profile, or EPP - which in general refers to nForce 590 or 680a/680i chipsets. After startup of the computer, this memory will automatically work at latencies of CL3, 3-4-4.

We're expecting this memory during next week, so you can expect a detailed review on supported and non-supported chipsets. ยต
