Microsoft files 26 lawsuits against dealers

Pirates got secret shopping treatment

SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft said it has filed 26 lawsuits in the US aimed at resellers selling pirated software.

The lawsuits were filed in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and South Carolina, Microsoft said.

It said it accumulated evidence for the allegations using a "secret shopper" style programme. It bought hardware and software across the country and then tested it to see if it was genuine. µ
