Beijing Apple Store gets kitted out

Pingo prepares to pounce
Thursday, 3 July 2008, 11:01

BRANDTASTIC APPLE is off courting the Chinese in an attempt to get the people of the populous republic to buy its fat-margined gadgetry.

And French Mac fan site macplus.net has gotten its beret in a twist over shots some bloke took of the soon-to-be opened flagship Apple Store in Beijing.

Apple is apparently known as Pingo in China, which surprisingly-enough means apple. Or pomme, as the Frenchies have it.

Our undercover amis suggested we check out the scoop here.

So excited were we that we nicked one the pictures.
