Van Smith trips Transmeta, kicks it while it's down

It may be true that Transmeta's Efficeon is not the hotttest thing since sliced bread, sitting as it does in Van's freezer next to a pizza.

It may also be true that everything doesn't work as well as it should.

True too, it may be, that thermal throttling isn't a fantastic idea.

But doesn't Van work for a competitor to Transmeta? We think we should be told.
