Alaskan Wolf hunts Mexican buyers down

VIA SAID the ASI Corporation has started selling "Alaska Wolf" PCs at Wal-Mart shops in Mexico.

The machines use the Via C7-D CPU on the firm's PC 2500 motherboard, with prices of the machines set at Mexican Peso 5,300 (~$485).

The 1.50GHz Via C7-D draws 20 watts, while the machine includes 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB S-ATA hard drive, a DVD combo drive, Vista Starter Edition, and a 17-inch LCD monitor. Graphics are provided by Via's Unichrome Pro II. µ
